Rocky Mountain National Park Colors

This fall, I went on a national park tour. I hunted down flights for $38 RT to Denver, bought an annual national park pass, and then hit the trails.

This was taken on our first of many hikes on the trip. We we’re on Emerald Lake Trail, a trail that slowly climbs elevation and brings you through three different, increasingly beautiful lakes.

The combination of contrasting light from that mountain evergreen wall, dark teal lake, and bright decaying grass, really made me swoon.
